Brittany and Dave’s wedding day was full of sunshine and… wind. Lots of wind. On the bright side, I love wind in images because it adds movement and prettiness! Being a Kelowna Wedding Photographer means that I get to experience some of the loveliest views that the Okanagan has to offer – including the view from Cedar Creek Winery.
Brittany and Dave had the cutest little ring bearer who decided it would be best to take a break on the steps just after he began his walk down the aisle. It was adorable to say the least and he make it to Dave with a little help (and some gummy bears).
It was a beautiful day for a wedding and Brittany, Dave and their friends and family were a ton of fun to spend the day with. And I don’t think I’ve attended a wedding where more men were into physical affection and kisses. You’ll see what I mean… have a look!
Lastly – A HUGE thank you to my amazing second photographer, Kaila, who took some pretty incredible portraits and is always the best kind of person to be around!
Often times, children don’t want to have their photographs taken. But if you make them love you, they will let you take their portrait! During this session, I gave piggybacks, raced, rolled around on the ground, went on a Bear Hunt, let the kids take pictures, and I even wiped some noses. After a small incident involving a dog and an adorable little girl, the session was under way and we were having fun!
I know Laura through the wedding industry – she is an incredible wedding planner and owner of English Rose Weddings. She’s the best to work with at weddings and behind the camera!
Thanks for letting me hang out with your adorable family, Laura!
One of the best things about being a Kelowna wedding photographer is that I get to go to wineries. Lots of wineries. Lots of wine. Even better is that I get to go to amazing wineries like 50th Parallel Estate Winery, nearly every weekend (jealous?). The view is incredible! Just incredible!
Alannah and her ladies prepared themselves for the wedding by drinking champagne and juice with fresh berries at Sparkling Hill. No big deal. The guys got ready in a villa at Predator Ridge. No big deal.
The two met at 50th Parallel Estate Winery for their first look with their wedding party peeking from above on the stomp pad. The ceremony took place overlooking the Okanagan Lake and the rain in the distance. After the ceremony, they were driven away in a 1960’s white Cadillac.
My absolute favourite part of the day was Adam & Alannah’s first dance. If you know me, you know I am a big softie and a family gal. The two danced to a recorded version of a song, sung by Alannah’s late grandfather. There weren’t many dry eyes, including my own!
The truth is, there are so many amazing details about this wedding, that you’ll just have to go ahead and take a peek at this blog post. Make yourself a tea, coffee, or grab a glass of wine and enjoy!

Meet Erin and Nils. These two are my favourite kind of people – genuine, friendly, affectionate, romantic…
Nils proposed to Erin at her family’s cabin, on the lake, near her favourite tree. As they arrived back at the cabin, her parents cued a recorded version of the song he wrote to her for her birthday a few months earlier.
It’s a scene right out of a romantic comedy!
Of course, we had to incorporate Nils’ guitar into the engagement session. I could’ve sat there and listened to him play all day!
Here is Erin and Nils’ super snuggly engagement session!
Gabriella and Andrew are a sweet young couple who are so in love. They chose The Bevoulin Heritage Church for their ceremony location. Gabriella wore her mother’s own wedding dress, tailored by Andrew’s mother to suit her perfectly.
The Benvoulin Heritage Church is one of my absolute favourite wedding ceremony locations in the Okanagan. I love everything about it from the wood, to the sound of floorboards, to the smell.
Everything was perfect for Gabriella and Andrew’s wedding. The florals from Petal and Vow were some of the most stunning florals I’ve ever seen! The Burgundy, green, and blush colours were such a breath of fresh air!
There was no stress, lots of tears, lots of snuggles, lots of laughs. The weather co-operated. When it got windy, Andrew and Gabriella just embraced it! Everything was beautiful!
Take a look and see!

This wedding is a special one for me. Whether intended or not, there was a theme to this wedding and it was a theme that involved all things that are the most important to me. Love, family, and friends who are family.
From the first day we spoke, I knew that Amarjit and John would be a couple I would fall in love with. I knew the their wedding would be one to stand out in my mind for a long, long time. Not because of the decor, the venue, the food (all of which were incredible, by the way!), or any other detail, but because they made me feel like a member of their family.
Speaking of decor, Amarjit designed every aspect of her wedding and made the decor herself, with the help of friends and family. Which is unbelievable and she should really consider a career change 🙂
It was no surprise to me that Amarjit and John comprised their wedding party of their children, nieces and nephews. Their ceremony was set up so that their guests surrounded them, conveying a sense of love and inclusion. A wedding is traditionally symbolic of two families uniting, becoming one big family. Their wedding reflected that their families had already become one, long before their wedding day and that each person in attendance was an important part of their family.
Amarjit and John – I hope you know how truly important your family is to me. How special it was for me to photograph your wedding and provide you with memories that you can look back on for a lifetime. Your family is beautiful and special, in a way that I can’t put into words. Thank you for everything <3
When couples decide to have an Okanagan Wedding, there are endless possibilities when it comes to scenery – mountains, lakes, views, wineries, orchards… Being a Kelowna Wedding Photographer means that I get to travel to some of the most beautiful venues to photograph weddings. Linden Gardens in Kaleden is beautiful venue for a wedding, with immaculately manicured lawns and gardens. It is a lovely location for an outdoor garden ceremony and reception.
Valerie and Alex’s wedding day was threatened by rain, but the rain held off for the ceremony. They weren’t so lucky later in the day and their reception was moved indoors. After an incredibly delicious dinner by Joy Road Catering, the rain ended and the party continued outside.
A big thank you to all the incredible vendors and to Valerie and Alex who made this wedding one for the books!
