Meet sweet Isaac.  Six days new at the time of his session.

When we arrived to photograph this sweet little man, he was calm, sleepy, happy.  He was ready!  I feel confident saying that his calm nature was definitely a reflection of his mother’s nature.   It’s not always the case that new moms are confident and calm.  Isaac’s Momma, is one of those women who just exudes strength and surety.  Mothering looks good on her!

Isaac’s Dad is a a firefighter here in Kelowna.  We squished sweet Isaac up and propped him in Dad’s helmet.  It’s amazing to think that someday, Isaac too, will grow into a strong man, just like his Dad.

I always feel so incredibly lucky that strangers invite me into their homes to snuggle their newborns and photograph all their little details.  Details that are easily forgotten if not captured in a tangible image.   Every time I snuggle a newborn, I think, “I can’t believe my boys were ever this tiny!”.  It’s easy to forget, but so wonderful to recall by looking at photographs (and snuggling newborn babies!).
